As a municipality, you benefit from new sources of income from trade tax and possibly the leasing of land. In addition, we give municipalities a share in the electricity revenues of our wind farm. We distribute 0.2 cents per kilowatt hour to the municipalities directly involved. The modernisation of the municipal road network in the wind farm is also one of the advantages that the realisation of a farm offers to the municipalities.
Volkswind assumes responsibility towards the local residents and not only fulfils all legal requirements, but in some cases also goes beyond them. In many projects, we offer citizens the opportunity to directly participate financially in the new wind farm on site. Our citizen participation models are financially attractive and increase acceptance for the project “on the doorstep”.
