Site selection and project development
At this stage, we conduct a thorough analysis of potential sites to determine the best conditions for the construction of a wind farm. In doing so, we take into account factors such as wind speed, terrain conditions, species protection, environmental impacts and legal frameworks. On the basis of these findings, we develop a comprehensive project concept and initiate the approval process.
Technical design
In this phase, feasibility and technical studies (access, connection, wind energy) will be carried out. At the same time, numerous studies are being carried out, such as studies on fauna and flora, landscape studies, acoustic studies and hydrogeological studies. At the same time, we prepare detailed technical plans for the wind farm, including the placement of the turbines, the infrastructure and the power grid connection.
Preparation of quotations
Each project is individual, as are the wishes of the landowners, which is why our project developers work together with our landowners to develop a tailor-made concept. Transparent communication is our top priority. We communicate openly and honestly from the planning phase to implementation. A central element of our philosophy is the avoidance of empty promises. Volkswind does not promise castles in the air, but relies on realism and honesty.
Meeting with local stakeholders
Acceptance is a central point in the planning of wind power projects. We see the early involvement of all project participants, authorities and residents as an opportunity to increase acceptance of the project. We take the time to meet with the local MPs and present the project to them, as well as the owners and operators and all stakeholders involved in the project.
Permits
Once the location has been determined, we take care of all the necessary permits and official approval procedures. This includes environmental impact assessments, planning applications, public consultations and dialogue with local communities and stakeholders.
Construction
As soon as all permits have been granted, the actual construction phase begins. Our experienced project managers ensure that everything runs smoothly and quickly. By involving local companies, Volkswind generates added value for the region. In addition, Volkswind takes a variety of measures to ensure that our construction sites are not harmful to the environment and applies strict rules to all projects to minimize the ecological footprint.
Operations and maintenance
Our commitment does not end with the completion of the wind farm. We offer comprehensive O&M services to ensure that the wind farm is running optimally and yields are maximised. This includes regular inspections, maintenance, repairs and round-the-clock performance monitoring. The integrated technical and commercial management of the wind farms guarantees optimal and reliable operation in the long term.
Dismantling of wind turbines
After the wind turbines have produced environmentally friendly electricity for several decades, they are dismantled. The site will be restored to its original state. All components of the wind turbines are returned to the recycling cycle.
